Teridian multilayer chip varistor eyes mobile products

Teridian Corp. has announced that it has completed development and begun sample shipment of a low capacitance 1005 type (1mm to 0.5mm) multilayer chip varistor that is designed for use in high-speed signal lines that achieves low clamping voltage.
The chip can be used with differential signal transmissioncircuits such as high-frequency IC circuits, IC, and USB2.0 to prevent malfunctions and static electric damage to mobile devices. Completely lead free, the product's terminal electrodes are plated with nickel and tin, while the ground terminal has a coating of silver. The varistors also feature high solder wettability and solder heat resistance.
