Intersil converters each loaded with two DACs

Digital-to-analog converters with its own DACs are Intersil Corp.'s latest offering. The four new high-speed dual digital-to-analog converters (DACs) each contains two high-performance DACs that operate up to 260Msps.
According to Intersil, the 8-bit ISL5627, 10-bit ISL5727, 12-bit ISL5827 and 14-bit ISL5927 converters offer the industry's highest performance to price value with the highest precision, single-supply operation and the industry's lowest power consumption for conversion of high-speed digital data to high-accuracy analog.

"The new high-speed ISL5627, ISL5727, ISL5827 and ISL5927 dual DACs lead the industry in performance to price value, improving the quality of service for all broadband communications systems and instrumentation," said Mamoon Rashid, director of Intersil's Analog Solutions Products. "Two DACs in one IC offer space and cost savings supported by the industry's lowest power consumption and single-supply operation."

The new devices are fully supported with technical documentation, evaluation platforms, technical support and an exclusive online Test DriveSM service that allows customers to evaluate the company's DACs and ADCs without the time and expense of utilizing engineering and laboratory resources.

Operating between the -40¢XC to 85¢XC temperature range, the high-performance DACs features guaranteed gain matching of <0.14dB, clock rate of up to 260MHz, a power consumption of approximately 230mW with 20mA out at 130Msps, and an adjustable full-scale output current over a 2mA to 20mA range. Target applications include 3G cellular infrastructure, broadband wireless access, satellite communications, high-resolution imaging, medical equipment and test instrumentation.
