Intersil rolls out two new voltage generators

Intersil Corp. expanded its portfolio of programmable gamma voltage generators to include the EL5226 and EL5326.
"These products are an enabling technology for dynamic gamma control applications, which are used to enhance the picture quality of LCD TVs," said Michael Jennings, director of marketing for Intersil's Display Products. "They also enable programmable gamma correction for ease of manufacturing and for high-end monitors where such values are user programmable."

The EL5226 and EL5326 feature 10 and 12 channels, respectively. Each channel is programmable to a 10-bit resolution through the I2C interface, which can run up to 400kHz. Each output features rail-to-rail (within 50mV) capability for full gamma curve generation and can supply up to 30mA continuously, or 120mA peak.

With a 4.5V to 16.5V supply voltage range, the devices feature a ¡Ó1 percent accuracy, 10mA supply current, and -40¢XC to 85¢XC temperature range. Available in a 28-pin TSSOP package.
