Conexant Systems Inc.
announced that LG Electronics has incorporated the company's PRISM GT 802.11g
wireless and CX23416 MPEG-2 video chipsets in its latest wireless LCD TV receiver.
According to Conexant, the wireless connection allows individuals to move
the flat panel TV from place to place without having to unplug power cords
and television cables. The CX23416 audio/video encoder incorporates up to
three different chips in a single device.
"LG's latest wireless LCD TV clearly illustrates how networking and media
processing technologies are converging to create a new class of home electronics
products for today's digital lifestyle," said Chee Kwan, VP of wireless
data and networking components for Conexant.
